Why do you like being a member of Dacre Morris?

Sue: It’s a lovely group of inclusive, non-judgemental women who enjoy a good laugh and having fun, while at the same time getting exercise.

Zoë: We’re lucky to have brilliant musicians.

Bernadette: Two of my great uncles danced with the Ilmington side before WW1. I feel very proud to be carrying on the tradition.

Tish: Focussing on the dances cures headaches and helps to dissipate the troubles of the day.

Dawn: I love the camaraderie when we dance out. If a dance goes well, there’s a real sense of achievement. If it goes less well then we laugh and take note of what needs a bit more practice.

Amanda: : It’s so intergenerational. I love being part of an all-age group. With not a walking stick in sight.

Tish: The feeling of freedom obtained from dancing in the street.

Elizabeth: Everyone has been so supportive and I really enjoy both practices and dancing out.

Zoë: I like the way we are completely inclusive … I like coming home on a Monday night full of endorphins.

Tish: Meeting people from other sides.
